2. Wanganui Stakes, of £ , added to a sweepstakes of £3 3s. each, open to all horses. 3 yrs. old 9st., 4 yrs. old lQet., 5 yrs. lOst. 71b., 6 yrs. old and aged lOst. 101 b. dinners and thoroughbred horses to carry 41b. extra, //eats 2 miles, second horse to save his stakes.

3. 'Welter Stak.es. of £ . entrance .£1 Is. each, top weight 14st.- Open to all horses, second horse to save his stake, post entrance, heats one naU e * .4. Consolation Stakes of £ , entrance. l£l Is. each, for all horses that have run. and not won a race during this meeting. Post entrances,. weights to be handicapped, by the. stewards, single event, once round the course arid a distance;

Mares and geldings to be. allowed 41bs. All jockeys to appear in proper costume.

The following rules and regulations \\rill be strictly adhered to : 1. There shall be a distance post for each; race.

2. Any person entering, a, horse, must be a, subscriber of Is. to the Aace Fund,

3. Notice is to be given to the Stewards of all Matches that may be wished to be run between any of the Faces. 4. No person will be permitted, to gallop or ride on the course during the /face days. 5 Ail dogs found on the course will be de stroyed; 6. The' Faces will commence punctually at. ll o’Clock; half-ari-hour allowed between each Heat and Face.

7. All applications, for Booths to be made to the Stewards, who will point out the sites and regulate'the scale of charges for the occupation of the ground.

8. The Rules of the. Wellington Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to.

Entrances for the Produce Plate, to be made in writing to the Stewards,, at the York Hotel, on or before Thursday, 29th. November, at 10 o’clock, p.m, All Entries for the remaining Races to close at the Commercial Hotel on the 10th.
