SPAIN.
The Count de Montemolin and his brother Ferdinand were arrested on the 21st April at near Tortosa. An unconditional submission was made by them to Queen Isabella ; and the Spanish government proclaimed a general amnesty. The French papers publish the text of their abdication of all pretensions to the throne of A'pain. The execution of Ortega took place at Tortosa on the I.Bth April. 2’he treaty of peace between Spain and Morocco was signed on April 26. The army of Africa is rapidly returning home. The whole force remaining there cannot be less than 15,000 or 16,000 men, and if the battalions, some of which were very weak at the end of the war, be made up to their usual strength, it will probably reach 20,000.
