NAZI TERRORISM
IN OCCUPIED GREECE MANY VILLAGES BURNED. BARBAROUS TREATMENT OF POPULATION. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, December 30. German nervousness about the Balkans is reflected in reports reaching Greek circles in London that reinforcements from Albania arc being sent to Epirus, Macedonia and the Greek coast. Wherever they pass, particularly in Epirus, the Germans are firing villages and instituting a reign of terror. In the region of Trikkala alone, 27 villages have been destroyed, and great destruction has been caused in the Larissa district. In Salonika the German commander is ruthlessly opposing the population, accusing them of sending food to guerillas and threatening to confiscate their meagre rations. Throughout the country a rigorous curfew is imposed.
