SELF=PROPELLED GUN

Details of a new self-propelled gun, described •as the most quickly manoeuverable weapon of its type in the world, have been given in Washington. The vehicles are built by the Cadillac Motor Company. A 77 millimetre howitzer is mounted on an M. 5 light tank chassis. These two, said to form a combat team capable of delivering the fastest double blow in mechanised warfare, have been used in the Mediterranean theatre.
