R.A.F. BOMBS BERLIN GERMANS REPORT ATTACK BY STRONG FORCE. THICK PALL OF SMOKE OVER CITY. LONDON, December 29. The Germans say that Berlin was attacked tonight by R.A.F. bombers, They say that a strong force made the attack in thick cloud. A neutral correspondent states that a thick pall of smoke is hanging over the city. For nearly three hours telephone communications between Sweden and Berlin were cut. Many German radio stations, including Berlin, were off the air lor approximately the same period. The last raid on Berlin was six nights ago, when the R.A.F. dropped 1000 tons of bombs.
