POST OFFICE HOURS
NEW YEAR HOLIDAY PERIOD. SATURDAY AND MONDAY. On Saturday, New Year’s Day, the Mas ter ton Post Office will be closed in all branches. No mails will be despatched and postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Private bags and mails for Bideford and Castlepoint services will be despatched on Friday. These mails will close at 4 p.m. today and at noon on Friday respectively. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. The telephone exchange will be open continuously. On Monday, January 3, the Masterton Post Office will be closed in all branches and no mails will be despatched. Postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Mails for Homewood and Stronvar private bags and Te Wharau and Wangaehu private bags and rural deliveries will close at 8 p.m. on Friday and the mails will be despatched on Tuesday, January 4. Mails for the Castlepoint service will close at noon on Tuesday instead of on Monday. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon (ordinary telegraph charges apply). The telephone exchange will be open continuously.
