TWO MORE HEIGHTS TAKEN BY AMERICANS
ON THE FIFTH ARMY FRONT
LONDON, December 28. Canadian troops of the Eighth Army are reported to have taken Ortona, the port on the Adriatic coast. A German report states that German troops pulled out of the town last night and took up prepared positions just north of the town. . . , , On the Fifth Army’s front, American troops have captured two more heights and have completed the consolidation of other positions.
