EIGHTH ARMY PRESSURE INTENSIFIED
GERMANS DRIVEN FROM MAIN COASTAL POSITIONS '

The Fifth Army has launched a new offensive against the Germans in Western Italy, says the Algiers radio. No details of the new attack have yet been disclosed, The radio adds that the Germans’ shock troops are still holding the Eighth Army’s push, but the Allies’ growing pressure south of Ortona has enabled them to drive the Germans from their main defensive positions in the coastal sector.
