FEATHERSTON
PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr T. Holland, Timaru, is spending a holiday with his brother, Mr J. W. Holland. Miss C. Bloxam has arrived from New Plymouth to spend a holiday in Featherston. Word has been received by Mr and Mrs H. R. Bloxam that their son, Squadron Leader John Bloxam. D.F.C., 0.8. E., has been promoted to the position of Wing Commander. Mr C. Rowe. Wellington, is the weekend guest of his sister. Miss Rowe. Mr and Mrs Fred. Benton, left today for a holiday which will be spent camping at Waikanae Beach. Miss Nancy Carlyon, Whakatane, will spend the holidays in Featherston. COSY THEATRE TWO BIG FEATURES. There will be two big features tonight—“ Moon Over Her Shoulder,” an excellent comedy featuring Lynn Bari and John Sutton, and “Men of 'Texas, ’ a thrilling drama in which the leading roles are taken by Robert Stack, Ralph Bellamy and Leo Carrillo. There will be special programmes at the matinee tomorrow afternoon and again in the evening.
