NAZI THREAT

The “Social Demokraten’s” Berlin correspondent reports that a Wilhelmstrasse spokesman; made new threats of “terrible destruction” to be inflicted on London in the next two or three months. WAR NOT OVER OPINION OF BRITISH GENERAL (Received This Day, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, December 23. “The war is far from being over. The Germans have a lot of kick still in them. We are bombing them very hard, but they are sticking it pretty well. I have never altered my opinion that one day they will come back against us,” declared General Sir Frederick Pile, Commander-in-Chief of the Anti-Aircraft Command, when addressing an anti-aircraft demonstration battery. “The enemy could if he liked collect sufficient bombers to give us a good pasting. I have always believed that heavy bombing may eventually bring some sort of reprisal. I do not think it is too far away.”
