BOYS OF SIXTEEN

CALLED FOR ACTIVE SERVICE IN GERMANY.

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 23.

The German leaders are preparing for next year’s battles by bringing into the armed forces still younger boys and older men, says “The Times.”

The High Command has ordered boys aged 16 years to register for active service. Men aged 50 to 54 have been ordered to report changes of address, a. precaution which suggests that their summons may not be far away. Wilhelm Weber, a Hanover dentist, has been executed for spreading propaganda favourable to the enemy. The German news agency says that Herr Weber tried by propaganda lies to shake the faith in Germany of women and other patients.
