WAR PENSIONS

APPOINTMENT OF SECOND BOARD. TO COPE WITH INCREASED WORK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “To meet the increased volume of work and anticipated expansion under the War Pensions legislation, the Government has decsided to establish a second War Pensions Board,” said the Minister in Charge of War Pensions (Mr Jones). He explained that the new board which will commence work early in the New Year,, will function on the same basis as the one already operating, and will be centred in Wellington. It is hoped by its establishment that war pensions claims will be greatly facilitated. The personnel of the new board is: Lieuten-ant-Colonel C. M. Williamson (chairman), Lieutenant-Colonel H. Hardwick Smith and Mr F. F. Wilcox.
