FEATHERSTON

METHODIST CHURCH SUNDAY SCHOOL PARTY (“Times-Age” Special.) The Methodist Sunday School Christmas party was held recently at the residence of Mr and Mrs F. Clarke, when a very enjoyable time was spent in games and competitions. After tea the gifts from the Christmas tree were distributed by Mr J. H. Woolford, Methodist minister for the district. The prize distribution for merit and attendance took place during the children’s anniversary service on Sunday morning. John McCahey secured the grade prize for the Wellington Sunday Union district with 99 per cent marks. The Methodist Church, which was closed last Sunday for renovation purposes, is expected to be open for the services on Sunday. Personal Items. Leading Aircraftman Ruane, of a South Island station, is at present on leave and is staying at his home in Featherston. Miss Joyce Hatton, of Te Awamutu, is spending a holiday in Featherston. COSY THEATRE “LADY FOR A NIGHT.” Tonight there will be shown the brilliant picture, “Lady for a Night,” featuring John Wayne, Joan Biondell, Ray Middleton and the Hall Johnson Choir.
