The Yugoslav Government Information Office in Cairo has issued the following communique: “In view of the situation in which we find ourselves, it is impossible for democratic elements in Yugoslavia to defend themselves against the repeated recent attacks in the London Press and the tendentious attitude of the London wireless, which has completely accepted the Partisans’ view.” The communique added that the gains claimed by Marshal Tito’s Partisan forces were actually stabs in the back against the Yugoslav forces.
