MASTERTON POST OFFICE ARRANGEMENTS DELIVERY OF RURAL MAIL The Masterton Post Office will be open from 7 to 8.30 p.m. every evening from tonight to Christmas Eve for postal business only. The following are the hours to be observed over the Christmas holidays: Christmas Day, - Saturday, December 25: The Post Office will be closed in all branches and no mails will be despatched. Postmen’s deliveries will be suspended and private bags and mails for Bideford and Castlepoint services will be despatched on Friday, December 24. These mails will close at 6.30 a.m. and noon respectively. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. as required. The telephone exchange will be open continuously. Boxing Day, Monday, December 27: The Post Office will be closed in all branches and no mails will be despatched. Postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Mails for Homewood and Stronvar private bags and Te Wharau and Wangaehu private bags and rural deliveries will close at-8 p.m. on December 24 and the mails will be despatched on Tuesday, December 28. Mails for the Castlepoint service will close at noon on December 28, instead of on Boxing Day. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. The telephone exchange will be open continuously.
