CHRISTMAS TEA

DRUIDS' LODGE GATHERING. A most successful Christmas tea was held by the Masterton Druids’ Lodge on Saturday afternoon, when a large number of parents and their children were entertained. The arrangements were capably carried out by a committee consisting of A.D. Sister N. Cornick, J.P.A. Sister I. Schaefer, O.G. Sister Corlett, P.A. Bros. R. Pawson, F. Ellett, P.D.P. Bro. F. Hartmann, and P.S. Bro. H. A. R’. Dunderdale. Father Christmas arrived shortly after the proceedings opened and distributed ice cream and paper hats to all present. Items were contributed by Bro. L. J. Fulton, and a dance by Joan Whall. Captain Sutcliffe, Church Army, then took charge of the gathering and kept the young people well entertained.

The lodge is greatly indebted to Captain Sutcliffe for the efficient way in which he entertained the children.
