ROMMEL’S TOUR
INSPECTION OF ATLANTIC WALL. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 10 a.m.) LONDON, December 19. The German news agency stated that Rommel, who has been given the task of inspecting the defence preparedness of the European fortress, has arrived at Von Runsledt’s headquarters, after the completion of a tour of inspection in Denmark. The main object of the visit, apart from conferences, will be a number of extensive inspection tours for an examination of the defensive strength of the Atlantic Wall, and the striking power of German operational reserves held in readiness.
