HOMING PIGEONS
MASTERTON CLUB WEEKEND RACING The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held its last race of the old birds season on Saturday from Wellsford, an airline distance of 335 miles. The results were as follow: W. Miller and daughter’s “Dawn Patrol” (1041 yds per min), 1; J. Mayes's “White Rajah” (1013.5yds per min.), 2; R? Stewart & Son’s entry (1012.2yds per min.) 3; L. Wickens’s “Black Knight” (1002 yds per min.), 4. The positions of the competitors in the points contest is as follow:—R. Stewart & Son, 97 points, 1; J. Mayes 92, 2; A. Pinkney 83, 3; N. Gardner 55, 4.
