A few isolated showers chiefly in the northern ranges; otherwise fair. Temperatures mild. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. The Waingawa Sub-slation, P.W.D., reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday:—Shade temperature, maximum, 76; minimum, 54; terrestrial, 50. The Waingawa Substation reports’ as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:—Shade temperature, maximum, 61; minimum, 39; terrestrial, 28; rain. 7 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 5 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. PHASES OF THE MOON. DECEMBER. Last quarter, December 20. New moon, December 27.
