TRUCK OVERTURNS

U.S.A. MARINE KILLED (Special Australian Correspondent ) WELLINGTON, This Day. A chief cook of the United States Marine Corps was killed last' evening when a truck he was driving overturned on the bend immediately on the Wellington city side of the Hataitai traffic tunnel about 7.30 o’clock. The man's name was Thomas E. Flynn. . . ~ The truck was travelling into tne city and as it turned the bend its tail swung round and it fell on its side, coming to rest against a telephone pole on the corner of Brougham Street and Patterson Street, opposite .Brougham Street'Hall. Flynn was killed instantly, but a companion escaped in a dazed condition, having, so far as is known at present, suffered no serious injury. The truck received moderate damage.
