GIFTS FOR TROOPS

FROM ANZAC DIVISION. OF BRITISH WAR RELIEF BODY IN U.S.A. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A considerable quantity of goods for issue to the New Zealand forces through the National Patriotic Fund Board has been received from America recently, the gift of the Anzac division of the British War Relief Society in the United States and representing supplies ordered by Mr Harold Rabling, chairman of the organisation, when on a visit to the Dominion at the end of August. Included are 200 dozen heavy duty cups and saucers, 276 baseball bats, 564 soft baseballs, 444 boxes of picture puzzles, 240 dozen sets of Chinese checkers, 20 dozen sets of dominoes, 840 draughts boards and also chess sets.
