WAIRARAPA APPEAL BOARD SITTING IN LOWER VALLEY. DISTRICT CASES DEALT WITH. (“Times-Age” Special.) A sitting of the Wairarapa Armed Forces Appeal Board was held at Martinborough and Featherston yesterday. The chairman, Mr R. R. Burridge, presided, and, there were also present: Messrs D. L. Taverner and J. W. Lewis and Mr G. F. 'Whitlock, Crown representative and secretary. In the cases below the names of the person lodging the appeal is given in parentheses: — Adjourned sine die: I. R. Fenwick,, farm hand (F. .Wall), subject to control by Wairarapa Production Council; Ernest Cyril Karsten, fiaxmill hand (F. Wall); Nelson Victor Batt, flaxmill worker (W. R. Aicken); Gordon Morris Batt, flaxmill worker (W. R. Aicken); Lawrence G. Anderson, truck driver (reservist); Erin Joseph T. Flynq, farm hand (M. Flynn);. Sydney Archibald Herrick, dairy farmer (reservist); Richard Leslie Scadden, farm hand (W. L. Scadden); McGregor Allan Scott, sharemilker (R. R. PHardy); Bernard George Hosking, dairyman (reservist). Service postponed: Mervyn Alric Stevens, P. and T. clerk (P. and T. Department), until December 31; Frank Raymond Lord, driver (W. O. Hewetson), until March 31, 1944.
Adjourned: William John Berkctt, agricultural contractor (Wairarapa Production Council), until next sitting; Herbert Leonard Robinson, tractor driver (Director of National Service), until next sitting; Charles Campbell McCallum, farm hand (Director of Naonal Service), until January 31; Cyru Gordon Munn, mechanic (Boyd and Son), until January 31.
