TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
MEETING IN MASTERTON. MUSICAL PROGRAMME. The Masterton Townswomen’s Guild held its usual monthly meeting in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Masterion, the president, Mrs Copp, presiding over a large attendance. Mrs Copp welcomed the visitors and members, and her motto for the month was: “Friendship is the green hill by the side of life’s dusty road. The roll call, “Where I would like to spend my holidays,” was well responded to by the members. The competition was won by Mrs Donovan. The singing circle rendered carols, and members’ children contributed items, those taking part being:—Piano solo. Joan Burke; violin solo, Roy Tayior; piano solo, Jan Wellington; piano duet, Owen and Bob Hensen; recitation, Jocelyn McKay; piano solo, Marian Dagg; piano duet, John Jarvis and Raymond Donovan; piano solo, . Heather Robertson; song. Rhoda Brown; piano duet, Joan Wellington and Jean Graham; piano solo, Donald McKay; song, Gwen Allotte; piano solo, Pam Burke; piano solo, Audrey Daysh.
