NATIVITY TABLEAUX
PRESENTATION BY GIRLS OF ST. MATTHEW’S.
VERY FINE PERFORMANCE.
The story of Christ portrayed in tableaux was presented by the girls of St. Matthew’s School in the Assembly .Hall last night to a large attendance of parents and others. All the girls in the school took part. The presentation was most effective and colourful, a feature being the beautiful costuming.
About twenty tableaux were presented in all. Verses were spoken before the curtain was raised on each scene by Anne Loughnan and appropriate musical carols were sung as each tab--lean was presented. Miss Gambling, assisted by Mrs I Price, was responsible for the produc--1 tion, which reflected great credit on all concerned and was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
