FEATHERSTON
.SUDDEN DEATH MR C. R. TOCKER. (“Times-Age” Special.) The death occurred suddenly at the Empire Restaurant, Carterton, yesterday, of Mr Charles Roland Tocker, farmer of Featherston. He left his farm early yesterday morning, driving several head of cattle to the Carterton stock sale. On arrival he went to a restaurant for a meal and collapsed while there. It was . ascertained that Mr Tocker had been for some time under treatment by Dr. Sharp, of Featherston, who issued a certificate as. to the cause of death, no inquest being necessary. Mr Tocker, who was 57 years of age, leaves a widow and two daughters. The funeral will take place at Featherston. Personal Items The death occurred at his residence) yesterday of Mr Harry Lawson, a well known resident of Featherston, at the age of 55 years. Besides a widow he leaves three children. The funeral took place this morning. COSY THEATRE “MY GAL . SAL.” The brilliant musical comedy, “My Gal Sal,” will be shown tonight with Rita Hayworth, Victor Mature, Carol Landis and James Gleeson in the principal roles. _________
