EXTERNAL RACKS
FITTED TO AMERICAN AIRCRAFT BOMB LOAD INCREASED (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, December 9. Increased offensive and defensive powers will result fro’m armament modifications made on Flying Fortresses and Liberators. One improvement is the addition of external racks under the wings, by which a bomber can carry an extra 1,000 pounds of bombs.
