CHURCH SERVICES
The Holy Communion will be celebrated in St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow at 8 a.m 1 ., and at Kuripuni at 9 a.m. At St. Matthew’s at 11 a.m. the service of lessons, and carols will be held, Captain H. Sutcliffe being the preacher. Archdeacon Rich will preach at 7 p.m. Captai il H. Sutcliffe will conduct the evening service at Kuripuni. The Sacrament tef the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at both morning and evening services in the Knox Presbyterian Church tomorrow. The subject in the morning will be “The Relevance of the Upper Room” and in the evening “Vision and Sacrament.” The services will be conducted by the minister, the Rev. D. W. Storkey. The services at the Lansdowne Church on Sunday will be conducted in the morning by the Rev. R. Dickie, and in the evening by the Rev. J. M. Simpson. There will be no services in the outfields.
Services at the Masterton Methodist Church on Sunday will be-conducted by the Rev G. H. Goodman, In the evening the Junior Choir will present the sacred cantata "Chimes of the Holy Night.” This presentation includes solos with obligatos in three parts, duets and choruses. Services will be held at the Baptist Church at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. tomorrow. In the morning the subject will be “Knowing and Reckoning.” In the evening a special youth service will be held, when Pastor D. R. Edwards will speak on “New Zealand Youth; Whither Bound?” This is the third of the series which. Pastor Edwards is conducting.
At the Church of Christ tomorrow a service will be held at 11 a.m., with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Mr C. J. Drake, said to be one of New Zealand’s best speakers, will speak in Masterton tomorrow afternoon and evening at the Ruhamah Gospel Hall. Mr Drake is considered an able and pleasing speaker and draws large audiences everywhere. His subjects will be “The Greatest Things in the Bible” and “Is There Anything in Divine Prophesy?”
