WOODVILLE MEETING

SPLENDID FIELDS FOR TOMORROW Splendid fields are carded for thq ■Woodville Racing Club’s meeting tomorrow. There is a convenient rail service from the lower Wairarapa and the meeting will probably be largely attended. As in the Maiden Stakes at Woodville, Campanella has to be bracketed with Marram by reason of joint interest, it has 1 been decided to transpose Lus Bela and Campanella. Lus Bela will, therefore, be bracketed with Buldana as No. 4A, and Campanella will be bracketed with Marram as Na' 15. In the event of the race being run in 'two divisions Campanella will be in the first division and Lus Bela in the second division. Racegoers are asked to note this alteration. i The main event, the Woodville Cup, has attracted a field of seventeen runners and there is plenty of room for surprises. Alethea is nicely placed in the weights, while likely improvers include Boulder Dam, Ozel, Hasten, Greenfeast and Sovereign Lad. On the day the public may prefer: Alethea, Hasten, Sovereign Lad. The sprint event, the Oete Handicap, has attracted good class. Clarice, Koi Ragi, Sterling Lad and Lady Accra will probably be in demand. The Champ will probably require more racing. The fancied division may be: Koi Ragi, Clarice, Sterling Lad. For the other events on the card favoured trios may be: Mangatua Hurdles: Taane Pango, Anglo-Irish, Noble Fox. Maiden Stakes: Geneve, Dash-up, Irish Chance. Nursery Handicap: Young Margaret, Master Ted, Golden Barb. Borough Handicap: Radio Call, Black Plato, Sea Quex. Whariti Handicap: Sir Ringman, War Effort, Epping.
