MASTERTON CLUB CONTESTS LEARN TO SWIM CAMPAIGN . The following were the results of the Masterton Swimming Club’s competitions on Wednesday:—2syds junior boys free style, I. Reynolds 1, A. King 2, R. Finlayson 3. Junior girls, A. Slewart 1, M. Stewart 2, Y. Ihaka 3. 25yds junior girls’ backstroke, Y. Ihaka 1, A. Stewart 2, M. Stewart 3. 50yds, men: L. Wickens 1, D. Stewart 2, R. Clay 3. Men’s dive, C. Thorn 1, D. Stewart 2. Junior, E. Braggins 1, A. Kjar 2. On Sunday at the Dixon Street baths at-2.15 p.m. a learn-to-swim campaign will be inaugurated under the auspices of the club and the Physical Education Department. Mrs I. McCabe, of the Department, will bring with her a demonstration squad. Methods will be demonstrated, after-which a squad of local non-swimmers from the schools will be given their first lesson.
