Y.M.C.A. LADIES’ AUXILIARY

MEETING IN MASTERTON. DANCE HOSTESSES ARRANGED. A meeting of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary was held in Masterton yesterday, the president, Mrs Bannister, presiding over a large attendance of members. Mrs Copp reported on Red Cross activities. Those who assisted in the street day appeal for the finance campaign were thanked for their work. Mrs Welch offered to wash all the curtains in the building. Her offer was accepted with thanks. Mrs Welch indicated that:she would attend to the flowers until the' next meeting in February. Hostesses were arranged for the Wednesday night dances. Posies were presented to Mesdames Bannister, C. A. Pickering and W. S. Flaws by Mrs Copp, on behalf of the auxiliary. The posies were the artistic work of Mrs Scharnweber, and she was thanked for having made them and many others in the past. Seasonal greetings were interchanged. Mrs Bannister thanked members for their co-operation and loyal support during the year. Afternoon tea was served. The next meeting will be held on February 10. <
