PROPOSALS ADOPTED . / IN AUSTRALIA. DRIVE AGAINST TUBERCULOSIS & VENEREAL DISEASE. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CANBERRA, December 7. Proposals for a £3,000,000 drive against tuberculosis in Australia have been adopted by a conference of Federal and State Health Ministers. Approval has been given for the expenditure of more than £lOO,OOO for venereal disease treatments. Recommendations to the conference came'-from the National Health Council. New South Wlaes also submitted a tuberculosis pension plan estimated to cost £1,000,000. It suggests a payment of £3 6s 6d for a man, wife and four children. The conference approved this plan.
