STATE THEATRE
MEXICAN SPITFIRE PICTURE. The programme at the State Theatre tonight will contain two outstanding features, the bill of fare being up to the usual mid-week standard. Another of the “Mexican Spitfire” series of pictures will be presented, “Mexican Spitfire’s Blessed Event,” it being jprobably the best of these excellent pictures yet shown. Comedy and drama are freely intermixed, the whole making a most enjoyable picture. The chief roles are taken by Lupe Velez and Leon Errol. The associate picture, ■ “Avenging Rider,” is «a splendid drama full of exciting incidents. Tim Holt portrays the chief character and is ably assisted by Cliff Edwards.
