COMPENSATION CLAIM
land taken by crown AT WAIOURU. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An area of 67,450 acres at Waiouru taken for defence purposes is subject to a claim for £100,307 against the Crown by Forests, Farms and Products Ltd., a private company. It is aamitted that £46.866 was still owing to the Crown, leaving a balance of £53,441, which was claimed as compensation. Judge JoKhston is.on the Bench, with Mr C. U. Plimmer and W. R. Birnie as assessors. The case is expected to last for several days.
