CIANO EXECUTED
ACCORDING TO REPORT FROM MILAN. ACCUSED OF BETRAYING MUSSOLINI. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December (>. Count Ciano was executed after a trial at Verona on a charge of betraying Signor Mussolini, says the Madrid correspondent of the British United Press, quoting a report from Milan. Neither Mussolini nor his daughter Edda, Ciano’s wife, attempted to intervene and save Ciano. Ciano was reported to have voted for Mussolini’s dismissal at the fateful meeting of the Fascist Grand Council on July 25.
