BOMBS ON SWEDEN
BRITISH APOLOGY & OFFER OF COMPENSATION. (By Telegraph—(Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, December 5. The Swedish radio says that the British Govrnment has replied to a Swedish Note concerning bombs which were dropped on Swedish territory on the night of November 18, accepting responsibility and offering compensation. The British Note said that none of the planes which had returned was responsible, but admitted the possibility that the bombs were dropped from one of the planes which did not return. It expressed deep regret for the damage.
