SWIMMING MATCHES VISIT OF COUNCIL OF SPORTS MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) Representatives of the Swimming Sub-Committee of the Council of Sport were in Greytown yesterday, and discussed swimming matters with Mr R. Pickard. An inspection of the local baths was made, and matters of district interest were discussed. BOWLING CLUB COMPETITIONS. The Grey town green was fully occupied all the week-end, and excellent progress was made with the singles competition. Some surprises were recorded, and many of the games were closely contested. The results were as follow:— Gold Bars—Thompson and Higgison beat Connolly and Dennes and Shedden and Carter. Dennes Medal—A. Thompson beat H. W. Feast, F. Harrington beat A. Thompson, Harrington beat Maddison. Handicap Singles (under 5 handicap). —Higgison beat Kiernan, McLeod beat R. Thompson,.Shedden beat A. Lamb and Calf Competitions. The Greytown District High School lamb and calf competitions will take place at the school grounds on Tuesday morning. TOWN HALL “FRIENDLY ENEMIES.” Tomorrow night the Town Hall programme will be headed by the excellent drama, “Friendly Enemies," in which the principal characters are portrayed by Charles Winninger, Charles Ruggles and Nancy Kelly.
