“QUEEN MUST RETURN”

DUTCH BEEKEEPER & NAZIS Cabled news from London reports that the beekeepers of the province of Overijssel, Holland, were recently addressed by one of the leading Nazis who spoke to the gathering at great length. In the course of his speech, he asked whether anyone present had any remarks to make. A very old man rose to his feet and intimated that he agreed wholeheartedly with what the speaker had said, namely, that there should be better organisation and cooperation. The Nazi speaker nodded encouragement as the old man continued. “There is one thing, however,” he said, “which must not be forgotten. As good beekeepers we all know that the Queen must return. When the Queen is not in the hive the bees refuse to work.” These remarks received the only applause of the entire meeting.
