In the House of Commons the Air Secretary, Sir Archibald Sinclair, was asked whether, in the development of post-war civil aircraft, he would consider an airport for transatlantic transport in England and not in Eire, in view of the latter’s attitude toward the Allied war effort, a British Official Wireless mesage reports. The Minister replied that there was not the slightest doubt about the need for terminal airport facilities for transatlantic air traffic in Britain after the war.
