RELIEF SUGGESTED

FOR WAR PRISONERS LONG IN CAPTIVITY. TRANSFER TO NEUTRAL COUNTRY. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.10 a.m.) RUGBY, December 1. A suggestion for accommodation in a neutral country of prisoners of war who have been a long time in captivity, had been received from the International Red Cross Committee, stated the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in the House of Commons. He added that the suggestion was under consideration, but that it was a matter of some complexity, and it might well be that direct repatriation would be preferable to accommodation in a neutral country. The importance of the matter was fully realised, and a decision would be taken as soon as possible.
