FALLOON CUP COMPETITION. WON BY E. HAMIL. A meeting of the Young Farmers Club was held in Masterton last night, Mr R. Buick being in the chair. There were six entries for the short talk competition for the Falloon Cup, the competitors being Messrs McNulty (bee farming), E. Hamil (aeroplanes), Clarke (bee-keeping), R. Nathan (hydatids), Heckler (how the cow makes milk), and P. Evans (rotational crops). „ , The judges, Messrs G. H. Perry and W. F. McLaren, placed Mr Hamil first, Mr Evans second and Mr Nathan 'third. Mr O. Rayner, a returned soldier, gave an interesting address on irrigation in Egypt, India and adjacent countries. . , It was decided to go into recess dining January and February. Among those present were Mr S. Freeman, Dominion organising secretary of Young Farmers’ Clubs.
