Bowling The draw for the championship and handicap singles has been posted in the club house and players are reminded that the first round must be completed this week. Nominations for the pairs (own selection) will close this week. Personal Items Mr J. Coleman has returned to Greytown from a visit to the South Island. Mrs J. Kiernan, East Street, is at present in the Greytown Hospital. Trooper and Mrs Roy Richards, of Heretaunga, are the guests of Mrs E. Richards, McMaster Street. There was a large attendance at the funeral of the late Mrs Peterson. The Rev J. C. Abbott officiated and the pall-bearers were Messrs H. T. E. and R. Peterson, C. Smith and J. McHardy. Among others beautiful floral tributes, were received from the following:— League of Mothers, South Wairarapa Working Men’s Chib, staff of the Prisoner of War Hospital, W.F.C.A., and the Greytown branch of the Labour Party. Heavy Rain Greytown experienced a heavy downfall of rain between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. yesterday. TOWN HALL DOUBLE PROGRAMME. There will be a double programme at the Town Hall tomorrow night. “Secret Agent of Japan” is a thrilling drama, featuring Preston Foster and Lynn Bari. In the musical comedy® “Give; Out Sisters,” the principal roles are in the hands of the Andrews Sisters, Grace MacDonald, Charles Butterworth and Dan Dailey, Junr.
