NEW RECORD ESTABLISHED. AUSTRALIAN PILOT’S FEAT IN LIBERATOR. ■ (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) MONTREAL, November 30. Cfcptain Richard Allen, an Australian member of British Overseas Airways, flying a Liberator bomber, established a new flight record in the North Atlantic ferry shuttle service from Montreal to Britain. He made the flight in eleven hours 35 minutes.. The aircraft carried fifteen passengers and a maximum load of 56,000 pounds. Another message states that the average speed throughout the flight was 270 miles an hour. The previous record Was beaten by 21 minutes.
