STATE THEATRE

“JOAN OF PARIS.” One of the most powerful stories ever brought to the screen, “Joan of Paris,’ will be shown tonight. It is painted in bold strokes against the turbulent background of modern-day Paris. A pathetic association with the present war, it provides thrilling entertainment and graphically tells of the noble sacrifice of “Joan of Paris.” There is acting of a very high standard in the film, and ’ the all-round excellence of the picture should make an early appeal to patrons. Impressively presented, it stars Michele Morgan, Paul Henreid, Thomas Mitchell, Laird Gregor and May Robson. The associate picture is the delightful musical comedy, “Cinderella Swings It,” in which Guy Kibbee and Gloria Warren are featured.
