■ - PLEADED BY NEW ZEALANDER IN BRITAIN. AGAINST NATIONAL SERVICE DIRECTION.(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 29. A New Zealander, Miss Annie Roberts, of Ruislip, Middlesex, 'pleaded the Statute of Westminster in her defence when summoned at the Uxbridge Court today for failing to obey a direction to attend at a National Service office for interview. Miss Roberts contended that under the statute she was not subject to the laws of Britain and would be deprived of her commonwealth and constitutional rights if she obeyed the direction. She claimed her right to go before a Commonwealth Court. She handed the chairman of dhe Bench a big pile of correspondence she had had with various Ministries. The Court adjourned to enable the chairman to read the correspondence.
