MAJOR SKINNER
APPOINTED MINISTER OF LANDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of Major Skinner, Minister in Charge of Rehabilitation, as Minister of Lands, wa's announced today by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Nash. A “Major Skinner not only possesses the right qualities for handling this important portfolio,” said Mr Nash, “but he is also in a position, as Minister of Rehabilitation, and from his own personal knowledge, to understand the needs of Service men in respect to land settlement. I have no doubt Major Skinner will prove a worthy successor to the many able men who, over the years, have held the-Lands 1 portfolio, and whose work has so profoundly influenced the history of this Dominion.”
