CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES. OLD BOYS BEAT COLLEGE. The Wairarapa Cricket Association's championship matches were continued on Saturday in fine weather. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP OLD BOYS v. WAIRARAPA COLLEGE. The Old Bbys scored a 5-point win over Wairarapa College, on the College grounds. For College, Sweeney played a good innings for 67 (not out), his score including eight 4’s and seven 2’s. Bannister (15) was-going well when he was run out. The best innings for Old Boys was contributed by Jones, who retired at 48. He hit five 4’s. W. Whiteman shaped well for 27 (four 4’s). Scores: —

The following were the results of the Wellington Cricket Association’s senior grade matches, on Saturday: Kilbirnie, 189 for nine wickets, declared (Parry 77) beat Institute Old Boys, 106 and 47 for four wickets, by 93 runs on the first innings. Air Force, 200 for seven wickets, declared (Bonner 71) drew with University, 193 for six wickets (Paetz 51). Petone, 187 drew with Wellington College Old Boys, 139 for nine wickets. MidlandWellington, 132 for eight wickets beat Army, 129, by two wickets on the first innings. Hutt, 112 beat St. Patrick’s College Old Boys, 82.
