AIR FORCE RELATIONS

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. OPERATIONS TO CONTINUE DURING HOLIDAYS. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee, the following members were present: Mesdames Lord (in the chair), S. J. Gill, P. Nathan, A. Harcombe, J. Wright, C. F. A. Jones, G. W. Sellar, and Miss Patrick. Apologies for absence wore received from. Mrs J. A. Betts and Mrs H. Rishworth.

It was decided to remind helpers that Air Force Relations does not go into recess over the holiday period, the demand for warm pullovers, balaclavas, mittens and gloves in England and Canada making this impossible. During the present winter season in those countries, many New Zealand airmen overseas are asking for replacements, and it is the aim of 'the Air Force Relations Committee to supply them. The wool and patterns are available, and knitters may obtain them from any member of the committee.

Three cases of tinned food were packed and forwarded to Wellington. The headquarters advised that last month the local cases arrived during packing operations by the headquarters and were sent immediately to England. The committee wish to thank the following for help during the month: — Lady Perry, Mesdames John Andrew, C. Bennett, W. Burling, G. Beard, C. Braggins, R. Birch, Bennett, T. Beetham, T. Brown, J. A.
