STATE THEATRE
“DANGEROUS MOONLIGHT” The «age-old theme of conflict between man’s duty and his inclination is exploited in a new way in .“Dangerous Moonlight,” which will be shown tomorrow night. In this film Anton Walbrook plays the part of a famous Polish pianist-composer who is also a fighter pilot. When Warsaw is taken by the Nazis he is sent to a neutral country because of his musical genius, and thence he goes to the United States, where he marries a millionaire’s daughter, played by Sally Gray. There the battle develops between his patriotism which urges him to get back to the war on the one hand, and on the other hand his wife who tries to keep him in America. Duty wins, and the climax is provided by scenes from the Battle of Britain in which the pianist distinguishes himself as a flyer again.
