HIGH=POWER ENGINES
FOR HEAVY BOMBERS. PRODUCTION IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CANBERRA, November 25. The decision to produce a high-power modern liquid-cooled aircraft engine in Australia is announced by the Prime Minister (Mr Curtin). This represented a further advance, making the R.A.A.F. independent of overseas supply, said Mr Curtin. The production of the twin-row Pratt and Whitney Wasp radial engines would be continued. The Prime Minister recently announced that Australia would undertake the construction of heavy bombers.
