ROME RADIO APPEAL
MADE TO ITALIAN SUBMARINE CREWS. TO FIGHT FOR THE AXIS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, November 26. A speaker, described as an Italian admiral, broadcast over the Rome radio a strongly-worded appeal to Italian submarine crews to fight for the Axis. “What the hell are you doing?” he added; “Why don’t you come forward? Why are you staying at Home? Many submarines are waiting to sail and many others are being built.”
